Vocational Training
Year 12 and 13 students are offered a choice of vocational courses including catering, vehicle mechanics, carpentry and masonry.  Mr Geoffrey George, one of the vocational instructors working in the Technology department, explained that the carpentry and masonry courses run side by side, allowing students to develop a broader base of skills, which will serve them well if they decide to take up employment in the construction industry.

Year 12 students demonstrating their building skills in the school's purpose built masonry yard. Because of the cost of raw materials and the need to dismantle structures after completion, the students use a lime mix mortar rather than cement.  The doors, windows and casements and any forms required are built by the students prior to building commencing.
