| 16 September 2006 07:08 | Hellooooooooooo P.A.S Just finished cruzin’ through the site and I still cannot name any of the faces, just as I couldn’t when I came home in Dec 05 Still workin 4 fire security on Ascension, and lookin’ at the archive photos brings back some real good memories I had in those walls. Got me wonderin’ to, about what my classmates doin’ now. Great site I was just thinking of the photos that were taken Of individual classes down by the main office, do you still have them lying around. Years before the e-mail and
internet became accessible there was a connection between you/
your school and Mariager school in Denmark. It was short
lasting - in two periods as well as I remember - mostly
because of the very slow mail connection those days. My pupils
simply finished school before an answer was able to arrive
from you and your pupils. I didn’t know the mail connections
were that slow at that time. Odds were against us. But today I
have visited Prince Andrew’s School homepage, because of
research. In no time one is able to sweep thousands of miles
to a place far away. So by help of the net you have got access
to the world and the world to you. I have an old dream of a
visit to the island St. Helena. Would like to make a highly
illustrated book after a visit to your island this year or
next year if possible. As a teacher I retired a month ago. So
now there is time for it. Beside my job as a teacher I have
always worked as an author and artistic painter as well. I
intend to make interviews, make photos, drawings and
watercolours and video of people, their lives and the
landscapes on your island. My St. Helena project depends on
the ability of raising the amount for the travel expences. On
the Prince Andrew School homepage, which is a link from the
government homepage, I saw your name and face and it hit me,
that the person on the picture might be the teacher, Daphne,
with whom I was I contact many years ago. Am I right? Friendly
