The following awards are presented annually and held for one year. The school staff offer nominations and vote for the recipient of the Bishop Houghton Award. Nominations for the Jean Beadon Award for Art are taken from both primary and secondary schools. The student of the year award is presented to the Prince Andrew student who has accumulated the most merit points (housepoints) during the course of the academic year. The PTA award is given by the Parent teacher Association for the student gaining most points in the year 11 GCSE examination session. The Mary Lloyd Trust exists to administer the estate of the late Mary Lloyd who bequeathed an area of agricultural land 'Harpers' for the benefit of the island. Part of this land is used for agricultural science teaching and the awards are made to outstanding students in this discipline.

Prince Andrew School recognizes the qualities of its students in a number of different ways. One of these is the Student in the Spotlight Awards. At the end of term, staff members in every department nominate three students from each year group who have shown outstanding qualities. These can include, but are not restricted to: achievement, effort, presentation, punctuality, cooperativeness, interpersonal skills. The nominations are collated by the Pastoral Head and the winner from each year is award the accolade of Student in the Spotlight for that term. |
